La Jolla Cove, San Diego, California

On a business trip to San Diego, I wound up trying to get sunset photos at the beach at La Jolla. I noticed a crowd of people moving slowly up the coast. As it turns out, it was the gentleman's elaborate proposal to his girlfriend. As I positioned myself at the right place (at the right time) I offered to take a group for the couple and about 15 of their attending friends. After that, I asked if they would pose for me for a few shots, to which they agreed. In this shot, their friends are all standing behind and above me (the street level is actually about 30 feet above me) cheering them on.

We chose this spot since this was the last stop in his elaborate plans and where he actually took a knee.
