I had been wanting to shoot a shot like this for a while, but lacked the props to do so. At this couple's reception, they had a candy table with some decorations, including this vase full of plastic diamonds, which lent itself perfectly for this shot.

The shot was lit up with an extra flash unit about five feet behind me (it was taken in the dark during the dance at the hall). The shot was then sharpened to bring out the clarity of the actual diamond. A 60mm Tamron macro lens was used to keep the focus on only the real diamond.
