Downtown San Jacinto Plaza
The mother of the bride was able to find a friend who drove this pristine 57 Chevy Bel Air as their get-away car. By the time I arrived to the church, the weather had turned ugly. The news reported 50-60 mph winds by noon and getting worse. We took some shots in front of the church, then we went to Lincoln Park where we were shielded by the traffic structures. I had planned a variety of shots to show the city, but the wind prevented that from happening. On a whim, we decided to go downtown. I assumed the buildings would shield us from at least the dust. We stopped long enough to get this shot, with me standing in the middle of the road, with the driver/owner of the car still actually at the window.
This, the last shot taken for the session, became the reception poster later that day. It became so popular within the family, they ordered 5 posters of this exact same shot, some even to our full size 20x30" posters!

The dust played havoc with the camera sensors, not to mention the motion the wind to push me out of position. I strengthened the image, sharpened it, then contrasted and cropped to a standard poster. A small lens flare in the upper corner was deleted from the upper corner.

Shot was arranged, the couple was candid
