St. Patrick's Cathedral provides a spectacular and exclusive setting for your wedding. It also is one of the more difficult churches in El Paso to photograph. Whether it is me or anybody else, the photographer and videographer has a long list of restrictions and limitations they must adhere to or risk expulsion from the building, this includes the general public (the viewing public are subject to the more stringent rules, especially for their cell phone cameras). Further, most of the lighting comes through the stained glass windows and flash lighting of any kind is strictly forbidden. Finally, depending on your wedding party and reputation of the photographer, the photographer may be seated in the pews (this shot was taken from the 10th row pew where I saw the majority of the ceremony) or in the balcony.

Despite those restrictions, I was able to get shows like the shows the majesty of this old church. I was able to get close-up shots of the wedding couple as they went through their ceremony. Photographers are not allowed anywhere near the altar. In most churches, photographers are allowed near, but are not permitted to touch the area of the altar, or even less, interfere or actively "pose" the couple during the ceremonies. Even if it's not me, be sure your photographer knows each church's rules.

Minor color correction and enhanced lighting.
