Downtown EP

This couple needed engagement photos as their wedding was in a couple weeks in Mexico. The couple came prepared with shots they had seen around the internet. Most photos had a decidedly emotive and Parisian feel to them, like this one. Since the couple was enthusiastic and not afraid to have fun with themselves, it was very easy to first pose them, then edit the photo to their liking. About 12 shots were taken for this sequence, both coming and going.

Photo was desaturated until it was almost black and white, then a desaturated layer of sepia was added. A tight layer of artificial "bokeh" (in-focus blur) was added. An artificial "splatter" layer was then dropped on top of that with most of the center erased to give it a "frame".

Shot was arranged, their expressions are candid
