For her Sweet 16, Katelin's parents hired the services of Odd-Lab Fire shows. They're a circus act that can add a "rave" ambience to parties with their performers walking with either stilts, balloons, or here, the LED glow sticks that they're able to twirl.
This is one shot with little editing other than light and cropping. The swirls of color are created by a long exposure (2 secs) and a performer carrying a LED stick that changes colors. My video guy has his LED white light panel pointed at her to illuminate her (otherwise she'd be as dark as the background.
