To many families, the "family" includes the pets. I had shot Rebecca's (standing with the puppy) wedding earlier in the year. Before the guys were deployed (US Army), mom (sitting with the kitty), asked for family photos. This shot, my fave, was taken in their own front yard. The brick and the leaves on the ground just lent to the ambience of the photo.
