Cristobal and his family had sold in the Artisan market for over 20 years. Then, because of lack of use, merchants, and patrons, the market was razed in a very sloppy attempt to clean up the area. The few merchants, who sold mainly touristy products were forced to look for other locations. Cristobal was fortunate to find this storefront just around the corner for a seemingly affordable cost. As he says, it was either this, and ride out this bloody storm, or leave town.
